I have a shop in my back yard where I reload, work on stuff, get away from the wimmen in the house. I have a small kerosene heater in there that keeps it nice and warm during the winter. Yesterday I took my 5 gallon plastic can to the station for a refill.  I had to write my name and address and sign the form in order to buy kerosene! What the hill is that all about? All the guy at the counter could tell me was that it's the law.

Mr Whiskey

Sounds like you are due for a shortage of kero.
Go buy more, while you still can, even if you don't need it!
Peace, Whiskey.

You might not want to be buying any fertilizer for a few weeks, either.  That would for sure put you on their radar.

Do you do your reloading while the kerosene heater is running?   Gun powder and an open flame doesn't mix very well. :o

If the NSA can watch you playing Candy Crush on your cell phone, I'd imagine that most everyone here is already on some kind of watch list somewhere.

Sure I do.  It's not like I'm throwing around clouds of powder and I'm not doing it over the heater.

Smokeless gun powder isn't all that flammable and it sure isn't explosive except when very tightly confined as in between a bullet and a primer, surrounded by brass.  50+ years playing with the stuff and no problems...Jim :)

I have to admit, when they were young teenagers one of my cousins and his buddy had a pretty major explosion while reloading shotgun shells and smoking cigars. Some lost hair and minor burns, damaged furnishings, I think a blown out window but no structural damage. I think it was even in the local paper if I remember right. Just a wood stove though, no kerosene heater.  ;D
