Been there, done that.

About 4 summers ago in Custer St. Park in South Dak.

Wife on back. Just came over the last hill on the wildlife loop where it intersects by the lodge and into a 100+ herd of buffalo and giant traffic jam. Got behind a car and couple bison walk by, turn and charge us. The one slides it's hooves right under the bike.

My wife is screaming " go go go go go"  I can't go anywhere.

Pretty exciting. Judging by the looks we got from the folks in their cars, pretty dramatic too.

Got away with no troubles.

But it was exciting.

I wonder if a blast of an air horn would piss them off or scare them away?

At the Paducah Inzane, we went for a ride and went through the Land between the Lakes territory and on into Tennessee. There was a Bison sanctuary somewhere along that ride. I wanted to go into it but the sign said "No motorcycles".

After seeing this video, I guess I know the reason why.

Several years ago in Yellowstone.  Buffy leading our ride.  That's me bringing up #2 on BlewByU.  Coulda been interesting if he had turned around but he didn't.  Eventually he went to the left side of the road and I passed.  QUICKLY.  Sorta how the bike got named...
