moly recommendations? Lucas LP2 w/antiseize in it.

any opinion on Grease. I saw Lucas LP2 Red and sticky axle grease that has antiseize in it, makes it sticky and waterproof. That a good option? Thanx.

there is a reason Honda wants moly to be used. research moly and what it does and its benefits. I use a thin coat of copper anti-seiz (research why to use) on splines like it came from the factory and TS-Moly 70.

I use Guard Dog moly and my splines-like Tony the Tiger sez-great!!  RIDE SAFE.

I have used the Guarddog. I guess since it is so thin I wasnt confident in it. It is pasty though.

Molybdenum is a solid lubricant, the paste is a carrier...

People here have used all kinds of stuff as lubricant. Some people don't use
moly paste at all and have perfect parts with high mileage.

Servicing the final drive parts and putting stuff back together right is
apparently as big a part of keeping stuff good as moly or whatever
kind of grease you use.

I've had mixed results with my pinion cup, I weighed the grease I put in there as
per the Honda manual last time, I look forward to what I find in there
next tire change...

TS-70 is a general purpose moly paste with many uses. It has proven to be an outstanding lubricant for a saltwater environment, above and below the surface: subsea riser, BOP, flange equipment and structural bolts. Other applications are components for press fittings, threads in tapping, boundary lubricating of parts in assembly and make-up, bushings of heavily loaded slow moving bearings, and many more. Apply by brushing or burnishing.

TS-70 Moly Paste is a thread compound with 70% molybdenum disulfide, NLGI No.2, especially suitable for wet or corrosive conditions, including subsea applications.

A notable GW certified tech here in Bellville MI (Nicks Power Sports), uses only Belray Assembly Lube.

He has a shop that specializes in Gold Wings (and Valkyries/VTX's) and has used several types of lubes, but a "comeback" or a "dissatisfied customer" is a "lost customer". He has found that the Belray Assembly Lube to contain Moly suspended in a synthetic grease. We compared it to "Guard Dog 525" and it is virtually the same consistency.

I still use the Guard Dog 525 and new O-rings religiously,.....but that's just me.
