I miss Paul Harvey, he was always interesting. I want to know did you actually go down that road? I one time tried a rode that was dirt it was hard but here in S Fla there's more sand than good top soil I was fortunate it was ok most of the way and emptied out to a good road. There were a few dicey moments but the view made the pucker factor worth it. When I was younger I always was up at 6 am and watched the farmer shows that were on. I really respect farmers they are the back bone of the US. Without them we would have a real hard time.

That photo was taken at a precise "F#$@ You GPS" moment. I did go down it for about 2 miles before the wash out in the road was to steep for the valk to handle. The turning around part is was took most of the time.

"F#$@ You GPS" moment.   Never heard that before but I know what you mean   That happens to be one of my biggest worries about exploring roads like that on the Valk. Once your there you are pretty committed. For me it would be one of those OH S@@t moments.

I know some were fabricated but they were still good anyone ever hear of Jean Shepherd I also loved his stories.

In this day & age?  I can't think of a worse choice for combat with a pistol-armed illegal than Shotgun Joe's preferred scattergun.  With shot - likely birdshot - at that.  Wow.  At Least he says next time he'll have slugs loaded.  But still only two shots and no back sight.  At least go to 00 buckshot.  That dude would be growing worms today if it had been me.  Assuming I still had choices if it weren't for my horrible boating accident - he woulda got a chest full of laser-aimed either .223 or .308 rounds.  As many as I could get off before he was on the ground.  I'm thinkin at least 3-5.  Probably borrow back this AR I built for my friend.

I live in a state with 14 million other souls, I worry about over penetration. I still have glaser safety slugs loaded up for just that purpose.

Even hear in the midwest you just never know not even close to the border.  Just a few years ago someone out of town only about 3 miles away from my house in the country killed and buried in their yard an older couple whom the younger guy out of town robbed from.   Bunch of crazies out there that is why I don't really trust anyone at all completely.

I keep telling my neighbors to not leave their garage door unlocked 24/7 and also the other neighbor leaves their garage door open all night long very easy to overnight swipe their snowblower or gas grill or air compressor or even their john deere riding mower.  Just asking for trouble if you ask me.   I don't even leave my garage door open during the day when I am home if not going to go outside in 30 minutes or more, you just never know anymore.
