we have an old ford windstar minivan that I've thought about turning into a cycle trailer.  can't sell the darn thing, no one wants it, so, why not make it into something "fun"!!

The Windstar is most likely to short to accommodate most bikes with wind screens, that is going to be a problem

I'm thinking that Windstar is a unibody but not sure.    If it is, unibody, cutting the top out to allow a taller bike in the back will most likely cause the Windstar to buckle in the middle so, you're gonna have to give it some kind of frame.   

But, it'll damn sure be one unique bike hauler.

One year in Daytona I saw a guy with a hatchback he had cut out, believe it was an old Toyota or similar. Cut a section out of the top and removed the hatchback, rolled the bike in, strapped it down and away he went. You could leave the old Windstar complete and just remove a section for the bike to ride in.

Since my daughter had an accident and totaled her car she's been driving the Windstar.  Plus, I bought a nice cycle trailer last year.  Won't be cutting up the windstar anytime soon....

Well..... I was going to agree until I saw the full post.....    

I was going to add.... I won't either... have ridden in ALL but 4 lower 48... Never trailered... rode mine to Sturgis, Daytona 4 times, Laconia... ride to Vegas almost every year...   ( Trailer??? what's a trainer??? )
