An idea, minimum order group purchase thing for each state t-shirt. Affordable, 4" on vest, 11" on back, about 18.95 plus shipping.

Submitted for you consideration.

1% clubs can bite me. I work with a guy that claims he is a 1 % and I say yeah 1% smart 99% retard. The clubs around here are just show.  But back to the shirts, I would be in for a couple for indiana.

indybobm

I would get a couple for Indiana also.

Sixguns has a point, when you ad a state to your patch you are declaring your area. Now there are some small 1%ers who could care less but there are some states that have large 1% clubs that will find it a problem......am I saying its right....no, but thats just the way they think and I know the bandits will have issues just saying becareful thats all.

Bighead

Most I have encountered only have a problem with a three piece patch, club on rocker top, club colors then state on a bottom rocker.

Looks nice.  If the 1% group concerns you wear it on the inside of your jacket/vest.

I don't know about Columbus, but right up the  road in Indy there are a couple of real 1% clubs. Known some of the guys in a past life. Also know someone who was an enforcer in a past life. He was a changed soul though. Real great change in his life. Great guy with some scary stories. He was huge and someone you didn't want to run into back in the day.  :coolsmiley: The change God did in his life was clear.
I'd be up for one of those patches with Kentucky

I agree with most here that the entire state thing is ridiculous, something "enforced" by a small percentage of bullies that think they are defending some turf. That being said, while I think the entire notion is stupid I am not willing to get my self in a situation of potential violence over something this trivial. The majority of the time I ride my wife is with me and the last thing I want to find myself in is a confrontation with some idiot and his gang of fellow bullies. I guess it is just another sign I am getting older but this is a situation for me that when performing a risk vs. reward assessment it isn't worth the potential problem over something as trivial as a patch with my state of residence on it. Everyone has to make decisions for themselves, just my .002.

I was at a Veteran's ride last year and sat and talked to a local, self proclaimed 1%er that was supposedly the local religious representative. He didn't proclaim to be a current member of any 1% club, but had some interesting conversation. I was wearing a t-shirt , maybe some of you have seen it, that had the "Sons of Anarchy" logo and below that the rocker that said Kentucky. He said those shirts might cause the wearer som trouble in the wrong place, because of the design. I thought "really???" it's a freakin' t.v. show :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:

Here in MI a lot of VRCC members have top and bottom rockers in conjuction with the regular VRCC patch.

1%ers don't give a damn about a "End User Groups". End User Groups include HOG, VOG, Star Riders, BMWOA, Buell Riders Adventure Group, GWRRA, etc. End User Groups are not clubs and pose no threat to them.

As an ABATE member I wear a multi-piece patch (cut) and have never been hasseled,...in fact 1%ers seem glad that we are there are fighting for anti-motorcycle discrimination on state and federal levels.

a few years ago we had a problem with the Banditos 1% in our area....during one of our BBQ...a group wearing state patches rode to  Galveston.....the police called Banditos and told them we were coming.....3 Banditos pulled over a group of about 30 riders...police watching everything....thanks to one of our riders, Tigger, he talked to the Banditos, our riders took off their vest, put them away and we were free to go.....Banditos own Galveston...if you wear a state patch in our area...YOU ARE CAUSING PROBLEMS TO OUR SAFETY...please do not wear a state patch and come to our house....we have been here and done that....Banditos watching our house......NO LARGE STATE PATCHES at our BBQ - GOTF....

....Guy and his wife we have ridden with are big Sons of Anarchy fans and he threw a
Birthday/SOA New Season party for his wife and had these custom made T Shirts made
up for the party. They had our "handle" and city where we lived added. It was a nice little add on and everyone liked them and we decided
to wear them the next day to an antique bike show. I had ridden his Valk Standard to
the event and at the end of the day when we were getting on the bike and leaving a HUGE
young guy walked up to me and my wife and starts going off about how Im "3 piecing it"
in HIS Bike Gangs Territory.....I try to explain to him that its just a t shirt that was handed
out at a Birthday Party last night and tried to make light of it. He told me that he would
"let me go"....with a "warning"...this time...but not to wear it in that area again.

...My wife threw hers out and ive not worn mine since..  :coolsmiley:

Fair warning to ya'll.      The Hell's Angels, and those type of clubs will cut the patch off of your back after they kick the living crap out of ya and 99% of the LEO's will only stand back and watch.       The El Forsesto's will ask ya to remove the article of clothing that they take a offensive.   I have a couple of the original patches the VRCC had amde with a state on it.     I was given them by LaMont.

I keep them under lock and key now.     I had one on a vest I wore to Sturgis one year.     Thought nothing about it as by then I had been out of Law Enforcement long enough to remember the encounters.     3 Banditos asked me to remove the patch.     I went one step further, I removed the whole shirt.    Turned it wrong side out and put it back on.    The 3 guys were cool with that.   Got home and cut the Patch off of the shirt and put it up.

I had to many encounters with these gangs in California, I learned real quick like, don't fight them, just do as they ask.     I my book that does not make me a weiner.

Hold up while I go look up Hotglue's message request for this year.

Be right back.

So, I am suggesting t-shirts, not patches AND the F6Rider store sold state specific patches just like this for over 8 years ALTHOUGH we always refused to put rockers above and below any patches we sold our purpose was to keep our fellow members and customers alive  :cooldude:.

Although the patch is not of a three part variety and the locale is not a bottom rocker, I can see where there could be a problem.  We have two serious 1% motorcycle clubs around here and some of their members tend to be narrow minded. I attend Sturgis Bike Week on a regular basis.

That said, since many of us travel around a great deal, how about a NOMAD banner.  That label makes no claim to territory and is much respected in the 1% world.

My avatar is the same as my VRCC vest patch. Top rocker says "Nomad" and the bottom rocker says "Michigan".
The nomad rocker means that I have no MI chapter affiliation (ie: Rogue Riders, Grand Rapids Road Riders, Macomb County, Capitol City, Motor City, etc.)

Not to hijack the thread, but why would the LEO's stand by and let this go on? I'm not able to get time off to go to GOTF and if I did I would understand and respect Hotglues request. But for the life of me I don't understand why authorities would let this go on. I realize I know NOTHING of this 1% crap.

Really RJ? That is exactly why these thugs still do what they do. No one ever taught them there is conqcences for their actions. Thats pretty sad that even LEOS will not do anything to them. This is what is wrong with this country. Let one group get away with it but by god lets go after this other grooup that did the exact same thing and punish them.

BigChris99

I'm sure Donald from Palm Desert CA will have something to add. I live in southern California and ride

through San Bernardino and Fontana on my way to and from work. Home to the Hells Angels.  I'm just

a guy on a bike passing through. I'm a big guy but there are usually more than one of them. I knew a guy

that was a cop in one our towns. He was off duty riding his Goldwing down I-10 when a big group of

Mongels surrounded him and slowed way down with him in the middle of the pack. They had no idea he

was an officer and he had his off duty weapon with him, but what the hell was he going to do? They finally

moved on, but that's scary stuff right there. I like the looks and the idea of the shirts, but no thanks.

When there are 20 of them and one or two of you I assure you that you will be better served to follow RJ's advice. At this point in my life I don't have anything to prove to anybody, I just want to catch a little wind on a sunny day and enjoy the ride.  :cooldude: :)

Not gonna force a confrontation with anyone. Then again I have a problem with anyone dictating to me what I can wear and where I can wear it. Too old to prove anything to anyone, but also too old to take some sh*t from a bunch of freaks that feel the need to intimidate others to prove they have something other than labias between their legs. I'll order the shirts and wear the hell out of them. Screw those freaks. I'll deal with the fall out if it happens.
