Rode to Meet Friends for Lunch Yesterday

The day before my wonderful wife helped me trim the windscreen on the Interstate.  Her hand is steadier than my own.  We wrestled with choices between seven and nine inches and settled on just about seven.  It felt good.

Before I left the house at 09:00 I checked the tire pressures to find I had been running on thirty-eight pounds in each.  It's no wonder she was feeling so mushy.  I filled them up to 45 in the rear and 43 in the from and she felt much better.  One hundred seventy-six miles out.  I believe I was the farthest out.  Met with about six of my good Kansas friends and rode one hundred eighty miles home.  Stopped off to chat a bit with a motorcycle salvager in Ottawa and made it home by 18:00.  Nice lunch.

I left the bike in the driveway overnight.  She needs badly to have her carburetor seals and o-rings replaced.  Makes the garage smell of gasoline if I park her inside right after a ride.

This morning it looked a little different.



We do get a wondrous variety of weather here in the middle of the country.

I never measured to see how much was cut off .... Look's close to the same     I like it much better this way.  Good to see you was able to get in the wind.

Willow glad to see you are out riding, hope you are feeling well. It's been a long winter, I am so ready for it to be over. Funny thing I noticed I will be in Ashville on June 12th staying at the KOA campgrounds when you have Inzane going on. I have three buddies I take a road trip with every June. We will be riding into Ashville after riding down BlueRidge Parkway. I'm not sure how far the KOA is from ground zero but I'll try and find out. Might be fun to stop by if time allows.

LOL!  I didn't either.  Seven inches is what was left.

If my memory serves me it seems like you, Gordon, and I had similar screens.
