My daughter is considering selling her black & chrome Valk with 41,600 miles on it.  :'(
I just brought it down from Minnesota to SW Florida and was hoping to ride it in some warm weather. However, she is looking at replacing her F350 dulie and considering a trade in as part of the deal. Anyone got an idea what this baby is worth? It's never been down and runs great. New front tire and plenty left on the back. Some extra chrome on it, but pretty much clean with windshield and Baker Air wings on it?
I hope to discourage her from doing this, as I sold my Goldwing last summer, but was loving this ride.
What do you think?

BF

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

However, Valk prices seem to vary anywhere from 4 grand-ish to 6 or 7 grand-ish.

Can you post some pics of it?
I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

hey Cappy

you "loving the ride"?
give her what they would give for trade + a little more 'cause she is your daughter and keep it for yourself.
just saying......sweet deal for you

Sounds like an excellent idea :cooldude:

Tell her I would give her a dollar for it.  Now, maybe, she will hang on to it.

That does sound like a heck of a good idea.  ;)

For what it's worth, mine is a 2000 Black and Chrome (the fastest color combo in the universe) Standard that came with windshield, highway pegs, Leather Lyke bags, and a rider backrest with 43,000 miles on it. I paid $6500 for it at the dealership a year ago, which tells me they paid the PO a whole lot less than that.

Here are some pics of the bike. It is now located in Bonita Springs, FL. I am just not in a position to buy the bike myself on my retirement "budget".
