New Honda 1800 cc model

I was told while at InZane I was told of a new Sport type bike from Honda that uses the 1800 cc motor. Seems it may be available in Europe. Can anyone give me some guideance on where I might find a photo

A part of me doesn't like it at all and another part of me hates it.  
Who are they aiming at?  Wonder how well it's selling in Europe.

IF it wasn't an automatic, I MIGHT consider one as a secondary bike...

It's mainly going up against the likes of the V-Max and the Suzuki B-King...

(The B-King is basically a naked Hayabusa)



I gotta admit, whenever I see one, I hafta go sit on a B-King and dream... Love that bike... (HATE the name though!)

The EVO6 (The new Honda 1800 we're talking about) would tempt me... But no freaking automatic! Takes all the fun outta it!

If I were into Hayabusa or V-Max, this bike would make me stand up and take notice. If it's an automatic it will probably turn alot of people away. IMO

Automatic tranny.... I hope that's not where bikes area all headed!    You might be right tho, if they make that 1800 cc bike pictured above I hope they make a few versions of it.  But that  new Honda RN-01 is a lesson in futility and has me confused every time I look at it. It's overly-expensive, giving us something no one asked for....but all the bike magazines say it has great automatic tranny - I'm sure Honda is going to find a reason to use it on other bikes after they went to all the work to design it....

I have nothing against auto trannies, but  please don't put them on all bikes!!

judging from the picture, no throttle butterfly's seen no F.I. tubes seen so it must be under the black box. There's got to be an air filter too so it would be about a 2 gallon tank left? Under seat would be full of battery and shock.

of course....you realize.....there are guys over on the Rune board riding Runes like they were Gold Wings...traveling ALL OVER THE COUNTRY...doing Iron Butts...etc. Some have the Corbin bags....some have the Runepak bags made by one of our members...some use leather bags they put on the backrest on their seat...etc.

but the bottom line is there are A BUNCH of folks over on the Rune board riding their Runes....JUST LIKE A VALK OR WING....going all over the place!

Just sayin.........

Me, i have the Rune for when i want to do shorter to medium rides or want to look EVEN COOLER (than on the cool Valk!).......i have the Valk for when i want to do longer rides or have bags. So i DO understand what i think you might have been implying..........but............it's actually not a true assessment of the bike........for some!

There are guys on the Rune board CONSTANTLY doing Iron Butt rides....for instance. Guys with OVER 100k on their Runes.....etc. Even Runes that are triked....Runes hauling trailers behind them..........etc, etc.

and yes..........Runes riding SO HARD IN THE MOUTAINS....that just like you Joe, they're grinding off things i never imagined possible! Several of the guys are DRAGGING THE BOTTOM OF THE EXHAUST....in the curves...and have the scratches to prove it....going thru pegs like i go through tequilla  


And riding two up......lots of em'.....with all the aftermarket passenger pegs and the Corbin two up seats.

Turns out the Rune, is a whole lot more adaptable than many folks thought.........

I got two things to say about this new honda. one not my style. two it SUCKS 
Guess if anything happens to the old valk I will just have to find me another one or by the voyager check it out and yes I know it is v-twin but also have a 1700 roadstar

I love it.  I'd probably buy one if they bring them to production.  I hope there's at least an option for a manual transmission though.

i wonder how many of you have ever riden an automatic motorcycle? that 1800 i am sure can pour it on! enough power there to just just put in in drive and never look back! yes that gas thank is the problem.

Spousal unit had a Silverwing (The new one, not the old one) Yeah, it's fast, but it's missing something... Just like in a car, an automatic has caught up with a manual in most ways, OTHER than the FUN factor...

Same reason I have zero desire for a Boss Hoss... Sure, it's fast, but I wanna control it and I simply enjoy shifting myself...
