Scouting Ride

I want to check out a couple of restaurants we went by on st. road 200 on our way back from
Alachua on Saturday. One was right on the Withlacoochee River just north of Hernando.
Looked kinda neat, and another couple just south of there. I think one was Red's. Anyone know 
anything if these I speak of? Not sure what the weather is going to be but Sunday is looking
better. Anyone want to hook up and take a ride I'll be at the same places and time. Macs @ 8:00
then the Hess @ 9:30-10:00. Whoo-Whoo!  Zoom-Zoom

If I have my thoughts correct ,the one at Withlacoochee river and SR200 is Stumpknockers. North side of 200east bank of the river . They have another restaurant in Inverness next to the old courthouse. I have eaten at both locations and the food is good . I prefer the Inverness just because its closer to home .

We met there on the river once a few years ago.  Pretty good eats if I remember correctly.

 Sorry Billyboy, weather looks like a wash today. Severe thunderstorms approaching from the Gulf. I'm working on my bike today and finishing a project I started in December. Installing a dash and door trim kit on Andrea's suv. I did the dash and never finished the doors, lost interest with the spring riding temps.
Then we'll check out a new local burger/sandwich diner that boasts the best "flame broiled" burgers. We will see, would be nice to have a good lunch place close by.

If Reds, is the one on the East side of the Road, a bit south of the river, has a long porch, It is wonderful.  Have only had Breakfast there. Very Very good.  A little North, on US 41, just before you cross the river into Dunnelon, is, The Front Porch.  Best Cuban this side of Ybor.  Home made pies are AWSOME.  Well worth the trip!!!
Anyone going to Tallahassee the 11,12,13,14 April, ABATE of Florida inc. ride to the Capitol?  Free tent camping.  We pretty much rent the whole KOA in Monticello for this event. If you enjoy riding wo a helmet, being able to have your plates vertical, getting MAJOR funds from the State for motorcycle awareness, et. al., say thank you. But it would be better to do it in person. 
Ride to the Capitol is Monday, leaves from the KOA.  Check our website.   See  you there.   crow

Those Two Restaurants That You Mentioned Are Stumpknockers And Red's. Stumpknockers Is A Seafood Restaurant And The Food Is Ok. Red's Is The Other And The Food Is Great And Is Worth The Wait For A Table,But You Can Sit At The Conunter/ Bar,(no alcohol served), Usually With No Waiting.Red's Is Only  Open Until 2:00 PM.

Great day for a ride, air was crisp bike was saying give it to me, give it  to me, so I did.    
Hit Hyman Rd. launching out of the turns juiceing the gas, man this is a GREAT DAY. Did I
say she said give it to me, give it to me, so I did some more.     Saw this funny white car
coming at me and with with a blur I could see some green on the side.     NO prob. Look in
my rear view and he makes a u-turn. Me thinkin' he just wants to give me the thumbs up
for my riding skills.     Well when I pulled over and was about to say thank you,   
He said DO YOU HOW FAST I WAS GOING??????  I said nope. He was so kind to say 63 in a 45.
Really? Then he said DL and REGS. I thought he wanted my autograph so I had a pen in hand
and was ready. So I just signed and he said welcome to Brooksville I said thank you sir if there's
anything else I can do for you just let me know.     Hey wait a     A $129.00 for your
autograph. WTH!!!! Any way went on my merry way looking this way and that way and slaping
my right hand the rest of the day.      Anyway, at least he gave me a break instead
of writing me of for a $250.00 fine it's only $129.00 (53 in a 45). What a great day.

Comedy Defensive Driving School...

Was a great day to ride, plus 1+ on the cool crispness. 

Bike does seem to ask for more and more throttle....were you in a group or by yourself?

Jee-ho Billy, leave ya for a weekend and you get snagged. If I was riding with you I'm sure he would have written me up also as we both move along pretty well through there. Wonder if their picking up enforcement in that area before the summer sets in.

Ya Jimmie I know. When I was a wee tot on a ship going to Japan to be with my dad who was
stationed over there my mom had to put a leach on me so I wouldn't jump overboard.   
Maybe she let me loose too soon.     He was on that road all morning. I asked him
what about all the squids hauling ass through there, he said he would get them if he could just catch
them. I guess safety in numbers and high speed. Go figure!
