shinko tires??

thinking about going to these tires for the lady,any input from anyone who has used them or know anything about them?

I had one of them on the front. Didn't like it, had a slight vibration that I couldn't get rid of. I think it was called SE 890 Journey.

Had one on the rear of my IS in '09. Rode it about 1000 miles and vibration was horrible. I stopped in Bangor, ME ( was headed to Canada) and bought a Dunlop E3......rode like a Caddy then.

I won't have any more "stinkos"

I on the other hand am on my SECOND Shinko S E 890 Journey and as happy as a pig in new mud!!  Dyna Beads in the Shinko and my D/S rear and have pushed it to a buck 25 buck 30 indicated and smooth as a babys butt.  I'm thinkin I got 14 G + or - on my first Shinko. I've heard about the vibration issues here before BUT I'm on my 2nd one cause the 1st one did so well with me.  I've ridden in ambient air temps from 108 Degrees F to 19 Degrees F with no problems. My Kawasaki dealership owner neighbor doesn't care for Shinko tires.  He said made in China and the rubber smelt funny to him.  I would think they might be o.k. for the price but not as reliable percentage wise from one to the next vs. say dunlop, avon, or metzeler.

60,000 miles on Stinkos on my ST1300. Not a problem. Good grip in dry and wet. They don't like tar snakes.

On my second one on the front.  No problems.  I'm not getting the scalping like I did with Avons.  I am using Dynabeads.

Ran them on my 3rg gen Magna and they were wonderful.
Buying an 890 for the front of the Valk in anticipation it will have the same performance as on the Magna.

When my wife bought a used 1700 Roadstar, the rear tire was about toast at 9800 miles and low PSI.
Not knowing if the front would last long either, I decided to purchase a cheap replacement rear tire (front tire also had low PSI).

I got a Shinko 777 for $99.00 shipped, and after more than 3K miles it still looks new. And although I don't ride the Roadie, my wife can lean that sucker over enough to scrape the floorboards. She has never complained about a lack of grip/traction.

She belongs to the Roadstar Clinic forum boards, and their are many using and liking those Shinko 777's.
