I'm going to put my 02 valk up for sale in May. Just need input on the value of it. 02 standard w/ leatherlike bags , white powder coated wheels, new front braek disks and pads front and rear. Forks rebuilt, steering head bearings replaced ,swing arm bearings replaced and newer tires. Has stock seat with only two months use on it. 160000 miles and all servicing done by me and the last time for rear service at 1000 miles ago. It is going to be at Douglas Triumph dealer in SanBernardino , Ca in May.

Looks like not much!
Take a look at Jeff's post about looking at a 113,000 mile Valk at a Mercedes dealership.

Is this 160k or 16k? And is this the bike you wrecked a couple of months ago? If 160k as was stated above not much.

Paint and chrome add ons will not up the value as much as you wish it to.  The bike I made the offer on was rough, needed some work and cannot be compared to yours (I think) hard without A PICTURE!!!!!!  But Id say if its nice and clean and functions like it should theres no reason you shouldnt be able to get in the 5K range...maybe start at $5,500 and talk from there

Art after riding with you, seeing your bike and knowing how you care for it, I have an estimate for its value.

AS MUCH AS YOU CAN GET!  Good luck my friend.

My profile has a picture and the only thing missing is the windshield. It got scratched  and was already in bad shape an due for replacement. The bike runs like new and will get up over 130 mph easy. If I had a offer of $3000 or less I would not sell. This bike is good for another 200000 miles and everybody knows that because it is a well taken care for VALKYRIE.

3-5 grand range siding towards the 5K range though sight unseen.  Just my opinion but isn't worth a hill of beans to anyone!

You definitely got your mileage out of it and am sure it will run another 100K with basic maintenance.  The tough sale will be to find someone outside of the VAlk owner's realm to buy it since we know over 100K isn't too bad, but non-Valk owners do not thinking it will need a new engine overhaul.

I'd try listing on Valk forums and craigslist maybe starting out at 5500 and go down from there.  I wouldn't sell below 4K though ever if it was my bike and nothing wrong with it in good running condition.  Cannot buy much for under 4K nowadays.

It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it but it's a hard sell. High mileage is a negative to most people, especially those who are uninformed.

I agree high mileage scares most people but someone who knows Valks. Now a HD that's a different story.

Truly, even those who know Valks will opt for a lower mileage bike in a selection.

I honestly think the three to five estimate was fairly accurate but leaning heavily toward the three end of the range.  The exception would be if you found someone who had fallen in love with and specifically wanted your bike.

As I stated before, my Standard has over 175,000 miles.  I won't be selling it.  I decided when I put this much on and into it that if it leaves my possession it will most likely be as a free gift to someone who will be able to enjoy it.

I have an Interstate with about 40,000 miles on it.  I would probably sell it for $7,000 but not today.  My wife's Standard has about 70,000 miles on it.  I would sell it for probably under $6,000 except she's not interested in selling.

I hope that perspective helps you some.  Someone said earlier that it's worth what you can find someone to pay you for it.   Now that's the truth.

it is truly a buyers market when i put my 03 standard on ebay with a $11,000 buy it now price it was just to see what the market would bring granted it only had 8 k miles on it and 9 boxes of extra parts i wasnt really sure i even wanted to sell it because others were selling so cheep was surprized when i had 2 offers in a day and the guy in poland wanted it so bad he sent a down payment and did a bank transfer in another 2 days and i havent seen a standard in any year or condition sell for anywhere near 10 grand  was shocked but on the low side i bought a 97 with 7 k miles on it with no title a few months ago for $1800.00 there is money out there for the rite bike

I'd say ... $3700 :-X
I think $3700 is a fair price for something that if taken care of will last 10-15 more years.
