great find, that is the only bike and same dark red color right now for a decent price I'd replace the Valkyrie I/S with.

If an 01 thru 05' came along under 30K miles for under 10 grand,  I'd be interested but would have to sell the Valk I/S first for 7500.

Rudy

I had an 01' in the same color, best bike I ever owned. Cruised like a wing and carved corners like a sport bike. Very easy to grind the pegs. Enjoy, nice bike.

..

Popcorn

Congrats. Looks to be the same color as my 03. Your going to love it.

Skinhead

Love that color!  Nice find.  Hope to see yinz soon.

One word of advice.

DO NOT crack it in the ass on a slight turn takeoff.

It will either spin out or lay you on the concrete rather harshly.

Don't ask how I know that please.   Thank you.

Yes, and mine was an 1800.

Whiskey man: I too have an '05 in Portland grey. Go to www.gl1800riders.com for any questions. I upgraded my front suspension with HyperPro springs. I put a Progressive on the rear first but I wish I had known about HP's before I did it. They are the only true progressively wound spring on the market. Then add a Kuryakin fork brace. You'll be smilin' when it's done.

Jimmyt Sir:

It had a car tire on it..........  I had her leaned over pretty good when I cracked her in the ass.

I just wasn't expecting her to light up the tire like it did.

Just got back from Big Bend NP on my '08, my second 1800. About 68k now, 42k on the '05, 100k on '97 1500. love the wings
But may love my Valk more.....wifie wants an IS.
Enjoy Whiskey!

Mr Whiskey

Thanks all! I had no idea there were so many closet "chicken wingers" on here, (except for Eric of course & we all know what kinda closet he's yet to come out of).

Hey Sandy, I been watchin' the 1800 board for a used fork brace. This one's already got progressive springs front & rear + the tapered neck bearings. Might jus' go with a new Superbrace. Course right now I caint even afford to register it, haha.

Goin' CT but gotta wear out the new 'stones that came on it. I hear a Mini Cooper tire fits.

All kiddin' aside, Sugar & I would like to give a big shout out to our "little buddy" Eric & his wife Shawnee. They were kind enough to put us up last Sat. Had warm towels, steak on the grill, & made from scratch peach pie, not to mention that wonderful pellet stove. You see, the first time we touched this machine, we had to ride 210 miles in a pouring rain. Woke up next morning, & it was snowing! It was an interesting ride home.
Thank you Eric & Shawnee, you are a God send!
Peace, Whiskey.

Had a 05 for a very short period when I decided to get a 12 model goldwing. Loved my Valkyrie, but really enjoying my new wing. Looks like yours already has a lot of bling.
