How much?

I am making new mounts for Tourer hard bags and would like to know how much space the factory mount puts between the bag and the stock exhaust.  Or 4 inch truck stacks.

Would someone be so kind as to take that measurement and post it?

1 1/4" with heat shield inbetween them (in that 1 1/4")

Thanks Bighead.  I will be using an aluminum heat shield so that should work well.  My plan is to make a combination bag mount and trailer hitch.

If your interested, I have a trailer hitch and bag frame that came off a 79 goldwing you can have for the shipping.  I'm sure it won't bolt on but maybe you can re-engineer it.  It's a start.
