To good to be true, same thing that I thought when I saw it, I have a buddy that lives in Laurel Mississippi that is going to call and go check it out for me this morning, Ellisville Ms is just down the road from Laurel. Time will tell, they say every blind hog finds an acorn once in a while. Could be a good acorn, I am over due.

Yeah I was wondering about that also. Maybe just put standard tips on, everything else looks correct .

wiggydotcom

That would be a heck of a price. The owner says it was kept close to stock, yet it has a trunk rack, which is a plus, a back rest(possibly Utopia) and Kury transmission covers. That's not all bad.

The one puzzling part, as already mentioned, is the tourer tips on the exhausts. I'm guessing the only way to make those fit and not hit the bags is to modify the rear side of the bag brackets upward. That's pretty strange but could be easily corrected with I/S tips.

I wish you luck on it working out!

Don't Tourers have the standard tips with the same bag setup as a I/S ?

My last Valkyrie, a 2001, came with Cobra exhaust. While liking the sound, I am afraid of the noise police as well as the dream police that we have up here. Put a set of stock pipes back on. Maybe the same thing happened here.

Yes to the part about Tourers having the standard tips..now I'm wondering what the reason Interstates were give flat tips? I know the bag lids are different but not sure about the rest....maybe MarkT would know.

Edited....I forgot the piggies on a Tourer are vertical vs horizontal on an Interstate. That's one big difference.

Yeah I guess it's got the entire pipes not just the tips. Probably for the reason Chrome stated.

I was just about to fill in the form to see that bike and stopped myself. Sometimes these things are fishing expeditions to get information. Am I wrong?

I only lived in Alaska for a few years; loved it and hope to go back some day.
One of my boys was born in Anchorage.  He doesn't remember being there but he's proud to be 'from' there :)

This smells just like the $2500 black and teal tourer that circulated around every Craigslist city posting a few years back. That one was already crated and ready to ship, but when I mentioned to the seller that I was just down the road and shipping wouldn't be required if I could just see the bike first, suddenly the poster stopped communicating and I called their bluff.

This is scam for sure, run away quickly!

Damn thing gives me the grins every time I get on it!

Were you there in the military ? To me it's still home even if I've been gone for 13 years now. Great place but 35 years of winters will wear you down. Your son is right to be proud :cooldude:

Filled out the contact information using, a pay-as-you go cell phone, email address, and name that I use to check out deals like this as not to have personal information available if it is a scam, no word back from seller yet. Have a friend that is computer person checking out the location that the post was originally made from and servers used.  LOOKING MORE AND MORE LIKE A SCAM!!!!!  Will keep everyone posted on the out come.
