That is why, regardless of law, I carry this in my pocket everyday when I go to class. You just never can tell when someone is going to do this kind of crap. I at least want a fighting chance if something like this happens at my University.

What model is that?

looks like the Taurus 22T, or 25PLY....  NOT 100% certain though. (fuzzy photo.)

I had a Jennings 22, it was a POS.  jammed nearly always, very very inaccurate, just a little pee shooter.

I've pumped a lot of round through it, never had a jam once, it's mild accurate, can't expect a lot with a midget barrel.

I'm thinking that "Taurus" is a much better brand name product then my old Jennings.  but, it was my first pistol that I bought solely for personal protection (we had a gas station at the time and there where a few robberies)

I'd buy the Taurus.

They make for a well rounded carry weapon. I know a lot of people frown at the small size of 22's, I like them, fun to shoot, might not kill someone but it sure won't improve there day any  ;D .

According to stats (not mine)  More people killed with a .22 than any other weapon. Don't know where I read that its been years ago.

Ya, but, isn't that little thing out-lawed in Calgary ? Does Taurus make knives ?

Isn't that the mobs favorite weapon. Its quiet, it enters the head just fine, rattles around destroying everything, and, can't get back out to hurt anyone else [ like the shooter].

czuch

I have a Jennings. Musta been made on Wednesday before lunch. I keep it well oiled and as clean as possible. It sint the greatest and there is ALOT of bad press. It dissapears in the pocket and has fair accuracy for 20 feet.. .22 will turn your river into a stream, PDQ.

The five killed (four men and one woman) and the killer were all university students.  The killer is the son of a Calgary Police Service officer, has already has earned a bachelor's degree, and was going to enter law school.  His father is "absolutely devastated. He is heartbroken as is his wife."  The killer is in the hospital, and has been charged with five counts of first degree murder.  His motive, if known, hasn't been made public.  The victims have all been described as "good kids".

Now for my opinion.  If firearms were as commonplace here as they are in the US, there would have been two or three times as many dead, as would be the accused.
