ALWAYS QUESTION AUTHORITY!

97 Valk bobber, 98 Valk Rat Rod, 2K SuperValk, plus several other classic bikes

I would check with my insurance agent. Ask him if it were to be totaled today, what would my company pay me for it.  That should give you an idea what is a fair price.

Kidd

I am not wondering what a fair price is .

Just asking  what looks better
2008 with 2400 miles for $8K   ?
2010  with 8500  miles for $9K   ?

I'd go with the K1200LTE....oh, wait ,,,I did that already, lol.
Personally I'd go for the 2010, those R1200 are good bikes, kinda like the valk for longevity, but without seeing the 08 and riding it, the 10 looks like the better deal to me.

Am thinking you will not be spending a lot of time in that Corbin Seat!
Also....make sure you like the riding position before you buy.
I have an R1150R and for the life of me I cannot get used to the slight lean forward and the weight on my palms. I have the bar backs on it already. Other than that the bike handles like a dream, has a ton of power and will lift the front at will just for sport!
Think mine will be going up for sale soon though as I just cant get used to that forward body lean, as slight as it is.
You will probably be buying a different seat (Sargeant) and adding a factory windshield as well. Those are not cheap so the other bike looks as good or better to me as the 2010. Aftermarket shields are really bitched about as far as buffeting goes.

Kidd

They are both  in perfect condition  , as mileage   suggest   .

I was leaning toward the black 2008  ,  the silver is now looking better  because it's 2 years newer

Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous.
It is however, extremely unforgiving of: inattention, ignorance, incompetence or stupidity.

Kidd

The r1150r and the 1200 are really different  machines  .
Yeah , the Corbin kinda sucks , I was sliding around on it , wish it was a Russell

The 2008 for  $8
or
2010 for  $9
