Yah I High Five you guys on the Oil problem on the Dragon.

A Ford was the chase vehicle, it will oil it up before they get out of the parking lot.

Jokes aside, I heard a year or so ago there was someone purposely dumping
oil in the road on The Dragon. I was there not long after I heard it, and
Wimp was there - told me that on his previous trip there he'd hit a big slick spot
and was totally out of control. It was only luck that had him pointed right when
he caught traction on the other side...

Probably a different time, but I was up there about seven years ago when someone had dumped oil in 3 spots....all in curves. Several bikes went down but no one was seriously hurt. The crew from the store got there pretty quick and got it cleaned up and put out caution signs.

Yes Terry it smelled like rear end grease or gear oil.

You could smell it before you got to it.

They put out sand to help and it did.

I heard the oil deal was done by bear hunters. It pisses them off that they can't hear their dogs for the roar of motorcycles.

Al, it smelled like used gear oil back 7 years ago too. It has to be the same one doing it. I bet it is the bear hunters like Joe said. All bears hunters I have known through the years, wouldn't think twice about "messing up" someone.
