I want to thank all for there concern on my well being. I can finally set in front of the computer and type. My wreck was over two weeks ago was in ICU for 4 days.I have a Broken collar bone, three broken ribs and a little crack in my spine...all healable in time. The bike is totaled the insurance tried to screw me out of what the bike was worth. but we finally came to an agreement . all I can say is watch out for assholes who stop in the middle of a 2 lane road with double yellow lines and guard rails.  I had two choices....over the top of the car or dump the bike.
Yeah I know you are suppose to have control of the bike at all times.. but when it happens that fast at 50mph you have no choices....plus the state /county worker just took of and did not stay. they are trying to find te car now by motor pool records. I think its gonna be maybe late July  August before I think about riding again

...glad you are slowly recouping my friend, broken bones are no fun.
Broken collar bone is pretty common in bikes accidents, I look at it
as a mark of courage.  :cooldude:

Heal soon . Thankfully you will be ok. I know how you feel I had an acc. in Jan and broke my collar bone and separated my ribs and hurt like hell for two months. I couldn't lay in bed and had to sleep in a recliner for 5 weeks. 95% healed now but the worst was I had to stop riding by choice and the valk is up for sale. I'll miss it but I don't want to go through this pain again and at 71 and 350000 miles riding in 21 years it ok. Time for something else. Too bad about the bike, Get another one.

I feel for ya Bear.

I broke my leg 3 weeks ago and have to keep the cast on for another 4 to 5 weeks, then possibly physio.

Luckily my accident didn't involve the Valk.

Keep on healin'  :cooldude:

Good to know you're on the mend. The scenario you describe sounds eerily very similar to my crash. In my case, I was on a bridge. No place to go except down. I did narrowly miss a direct hit to the grim reaper, but managed a glancing blow that resulted in a TKO. Hang in there....  :cooldude:  sheets
