Any Keith Whitley Fans out there ?

I ran across an old Keith Whitley video on YouTube today.

I had forgotten just how good he was.

Tomorrow will be the 25th anniversary of his death. He died on May 9th, 1989 at age 33 of acute alcohol poisoning.

It really is a shame when such a shining star is taken away too soon.

Yep, I thought he wuz a good 'un fer sure... Creamy smooth, mellow voice, powerful message in the lyrics... throw in some tune makin' with a flattop, banjo, and fiddle, and you got the makin's of some seriously good music! Hard to believe a quarter century since he passed... Shame, too, the circumstances... Life sure can get complicated, huh...
