So a few of us IL and WI Valk riders got together this morning (Sat., 5/10/14) in Lake Geneva, WI for breakfast. There was only 6 of us, Da Prez, The Don and his wife Barb, Wayne, Nico and yours truly ChromeDome. Other than a little chilly the ride from Aurora, IL was uneventful (no curves or hills). Here are a few pictures from after breakfast but kicking tires in the parking lot.

Crackerborn

I would have loved to be there but the mother of my kids had other plans for me. I was in Chicago having brunch with the wife and kids (oldest lives in Buck Town). Chi-town has great places to eat!

Maybe next time? ;)
Life is about the ride, not the destination.

There are some great places to eat and there is at least one with a biker theme. The Twisted Spoke I believe is the name. I have been there a couple of times and have not really seen more than a couple of bikes, including mine.

We did talk about getting together again,  :cooldude: maybe at the Full Moon Café on US 41 in North Chicago/Lake Bluff. There is a large bike turn out on Sunday's ever since the Highland House closed.  :coolsmiley:

da prez and I went to the Full Moon last year. Food is pretty good there to boot. I was going to the Highland House back in the late 60s early 70s then marriage and children cut into my riding time.  :2funny: I remember that the H H had a small lot but-damn you could get a LOT of motorcycles in it.  :cooldude: RIDE SAFE.
Today is the tommorow you worried about yesterday. If at first you don't succeed screw it-save it for nite check.  1964  1968 U S Navy. Two cruises off Nam.

Black Dog

Spent most of Saturday, and all of Sunday in bed, talking to pink armadillos, and flying kumquats...  Badly infected tooth decided to take me on a lil' side trip.  One moment, so cold, I'm shakin' like a dog shittin' razor blades, the next, sweating so badly I soaked the sheets...  No fun at all.

Next time  ;)

Black Dog
Just when the highway straightened out for a mile
And I was thinkin' I'd just cruise for a while
A fork in the road brought a new episode
Don't you know...

Conform, go crazy, or ride a motorcycle...

Nico

Had a nice ride up and back and it was nice to put some faces with names here on the board.

As we get a little closer to Inzane, I will post up with some preliminary plans for when we are riding out and where we ill be starting from. Anyone wanting to be part of the group, you are welcome!

Was planning to go since only 1 1/2 hours away, but decided to sleep in a tad bit too late and been having a horrible cough and sore throat the last week and still got it some which is starting to get old.  Still coughing some, sore throat gone for now at least.

Maybe next time make it 10 a.m. so some of us late sleepers until 8 a.m. can get there in time?  Wouldn't hurt to get my butt to bed before 1 a.m. as well instead of staying up watching the boob tube TV and falling asleep on the lazyboy.
