Feel like rambling

Over the winter I put in a I/s icm and last week I put in a 4° trigger wheel and filled my tank. Rode it for a while and topped off the tank, had 92 miles on the clock and it took 2.6 gallons which comes out to 35 mpg. And I'll admit I wasn't going easy on her because I wanted to see how she acted with the upgrades.  Today I put in the I/s carb  springs but didn't get to take her for a ride, had a lot of stuff to do. But real nice throttle response. The things that kept me from going for a ride were we are having a barbecue for mothers day so I had to do the mowing and clean up the yard, and sue asked me to build her mother a fan trellis. I have a nice design, it uses opposing lap joints and it is woven together and it will hold itself together without glue or nails. I glue and nail it anyway because a rose bush will pry it apart after a while. Then Sue ask me to go with her to get a tattoo.  It's a cover up, she got a cherry blossom branch with the sun behind it. I guess her tattoo artist is pretty well known, his name is Dano Collins. We chatted for a while, he was using his 02 road king for a chair and having a smoke. We talked about bikes for a while and he told me he had owned 13 harleys.  He has a tattoo museum in his shop with a bunch of antique tattoo equipment.  In a few weeks the discovery Channel show " 10 things you didn't know" is coming to his shop. They are doing an episode on Edison and he has a tattoo machine built by him, says he paid more for it than his road king. Very happy man, sang the whole time he was doing Sue's tattoo.
