I've been polishing forks and wheels on the bike.  It takes time and patience and I'm getting there but I'm wondering what methods anyone uses to clean the polishing wheels.  I have different wheels for different compounds but still would like to clean some of the crud out of the wheels.
Does anyone else clean the polishing wheels?

Thanks

There is a tool made for just that. Should be able to get one from the same place you got your polishing compounds. Kinda looks like a comb or rake :cooldude:

I believe it was MarkT that gave me the idea of using a short piece of hacksaw blade.  Just screw a short piece to a scrap piece of wood and leave the teeth sticking out.  Works like a champ.

I just use an old flat head screwdriver, and work it back and forth over the running buff wheel.

Then there's the breathing up the fuzzy dust and sneezing.

I've used a wire wheel on the grinder or just ran the buffing wheel on a wire brush.
Looks like a lot of different ways.  I didn't know there was a tool made for it.
