I KNOW using my high beams during the day works.  On clear cloudless days on a divided 4 lane the folks going the other way have flashed their lights at me repeatedly.  SOOOO I know they are seeing me.  And that is just fine with me-by seeing me MAYBE you won't run into me.  The problem with the average driver is just that-they are average. And we as motorcycle riders are trusting our lives to-average.  And as we are all too well aware here-far too many are below average or they run around with their head up their ass.  RIDE SAFE.

Horns are great. i had rivco air horns and a set of 4 1970 eldorado horns all mounted on  the bike. LOUD !!! they are great as long as your not one of those Douchenozels that blast their horns when the driver next to you is texting.

My old friend Ted, better known as the KC Kid, used to have a set of air horns on his bike that sounded like a freight train coming up behind you. Suckers must have been nearly 2' long.

Other drivers on the road not seeing motorcycles is one of dangers of riding a motorcycle and we have to learn to be defensive drivers.  However, driving with high beams on is just as illegal as a car or truck doing that, and it irritates me to see arrogant motorcyclists doing that.  It gives all of us a bad name.

I do it with all three of my lights during the day. I'm not arrogant, just visible. I guess you're gonna be irritated if you meet me on a highway.  It's been a few years since anyone's been annoyed enough to flash their highs at me, however.

I haven't tried riding naked as a conspicuity technique. I think I'll wait for a REALLY hot day. I'm leaving my boots on, though.

Riding naked is encouraged at most private ABATE events but at our age it's pretty scary to watch.

At night, on an rarely used hiway.
NBR. Nekkin bike ride. Wife loves it.
We have friends that get a kick out of calling them when we do it.
Not kinky or weird, just one of the "Wrong "things ya get to do when youre older.
Record is 70 miles, back and forth on a 8 mile stretch of road.
Saturday looks to be in the low 90's,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

With my luck that would be the night I hit a deer.  Then I'm gimpin' around naked and bleeding when the ambulance and cops arrive (all gals).

I've seen some trophy size rattlesnakes still enjoying the heat on the road on a couple of rides.
It always crosses my mind.
