wonder how they will get the flag down without it touching the ground? and what about the big flags that they open up on the football fields? how do they keep those from touching the ground? and if they do, do they care?

o yea and what about the Olympians that wore the flag around them, dont they know that is a big no no?

  I know in the past they had a bunch of people carry the flag out on their shoulders.  It is a full ceremony when they doe it.   The flag does get rolled out on the floor inside for repairs.
  What I grew up thinking as laws concerning flag protocol seemed to change over the years.  I hate to see tattered flags flying, or unlit flags.  When doing some research on flag protocol I found while these things are proper it's not necessarily the law.

It bothered me at the time that a member of the VRCC flew a flag with the stars replaced by the "Peace" symbol but then i noted that the flag was NOT the American flag and that he had the right to fly whatever flag that tripped his trigger.

I fly the American flag 24 hours at my Apt. and it is lit at night.
