My 1st born son rides sister deb (a nun) on his interstate this time every year. She is in her 70s. So today we are on this ride when  we go into a long slow sweeper running about 45 when the guy in front of me drops his left foot off the pegs and starts draging his foot on the pavement. I could tell he wasn't going to make it so I slowed down everyone behind me as the guy runs off the road. Took a while to get him to come to and the ambulance hauled him off to the hospital. We also had a dr. with us.

Sorry to hear this Don.  I hope he will be alright.

He was talking when they took him away, mostly road rash. I told the rest of the group we were ready for anything with a nun and a dr. riding with us.

There is nothing quite like having all the bases covered.

Could he have leaned more and been safe?

Was he starting to drag hard parts?

Did the rider just give up?

What kind of bike?

found out a little more today. seems the last he remembered, he was having a cramp in his left leg. he didn't go down till he was all the way off the pavement and the front wheel took a hard left. I sometimes get a cramp but still stay on the road.

Was he starting to drag hard parts?

..

Well that sucks.

I too have had the occasional cramp but never severre enough to distract me from keeping on the road.

Did yah hear the one about the Nun, the Dr. and the 1st Born going for a ride?

Glad the rider was at least talking.

Will he be OK?

Thanks for the ride report of sorts.

GOD SAVE THE UNITED STATES from the democrats is my prayer.

I watched a guy yesterday in shorts and docksiders with his bride on board with shorts and flip flops take a dump yesterday. Why this guy put both feet down at the speed he was going is beyond me? (newbie maybe) left foot caught in concrete differences, his left foot flew backwards and down they went. Freaking shorts and flip flops! She was pinned under the bike he just fell off. I picked the bike off of her and let the blood begin.
Called 911 and the guy started to give me hell and told me to mind my own business, he'd take care of everything. He sure did right from the time he put his feet down. I told him she needed some attention. Mind you rown business again! (even though he was John Wayne!) Screw ya then, I walked away there was no helping this guy or his wife. He didn't want any help and he was an ass.
You are never lost if you don't care where you are!

My guess.

No licence and no insurance.

And a tiny little brain.  ;D

Yah, best to let the dumb fend for themselves.  It's good you stopped to help the bike off the lady, but with him being a jerk like that,  time to leave for sure.

Woton

Do not understand either: 1. not offering to assist, or 2. not accepting help from - a fellow rider.

Of course you did the right thing here.  No license and insurance might cost you some money, but too much ego may get you killed someday.

Your courtesy and willingness to help will come back to you someday.
