Yep... I traded the Valkyrie for something more comfy for the wife.

(Sorry for the crappy cell phone photo... camera is MIA for the time being.)

And, since I don't want to leave this board cause I like it too much... what can y'all tell me about this beast??  Anything I should know?

Looks good! Never had one, so no help there. But if your wife likes it that's gotta be a good thing :cooldude:

Pappy!

Well......it's very black in color. How's that?

Jess from VA

I'm pretty sure gas goes in the hole in the tank, but you need the key to open it.

Nice bike pardner.  :cooldude:

As long as the wife is happy,  you are happy as well.  :-*

congrats, nice blacked out wing.

Good thing for me the wife still thinks the Valk Interstate is just as comfy and roomy as the 1832cc goldwings.  :cooldude:

..

All you had to do was buy a Russell Day Long seat combo for the Valkyrie.  :D

Yeah, yeah I know it's easy to justify a want as a need. :D

That is a beauty,I would buy one also if my wife would ride. She wants nothing to do with it. So i just took the rear seat, and luggage rack off. Enjoy :)

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!   ;D

And the rest of the responses... thanks guys!

It's a 2014, brand spanking new! (And completely stock right now.)  Lowest model... no nav, sat radio, cb, or other extras.  But, the stereo (with USB Aux input), Comms system, and cruise are all really nice.

I tried an Ultimate seat on the Valk, but the wife wasn't fully happy with it.  The Wing is MUCH more comfy for her.  A Valk interstate might have been good enough, but I figured I may as well go all out if buying something again.

So far, she loves it, and that makes me love it.  :cooldude:

The official break in will be a trip to Colorado in a few weeks.  Pikes Peak, here we come!!

Well, what do you want to know? It's an amazing riding platform. Great in the rain (just spent four days in the West Texas rain). Easiest rear tire change.

I would suggest riding it for a while before making mod to figure out what you really need.

I like the updated Wing in black better than the 2-tone versions.  It looks sportier.  I wonder if the Wings use the same paint as the F6B.

They do use the same paint.

Beautiful bike, love the blacked out Wings. We looked at one of them and the F6B and decided in our case we preferred the F6B.

Paint can be an issue on these bikes as Honda has changed their paint process to be more environment friendly which results in softer paint. Get yourself some Liquid Glass polish and put on 3 or 4 coats and you should be good to go.  :cooldude:

The passenger headset harness and left fairing pocket power port were a few of my first upgrades on my F6B.

Let them all tease you about the Dairy Queen stuff, when you blow by them in the twisties they will quiet down.  ;D

romeo, romeo,,wake up romeo, you are having delusions again,,while its true most HD riders do respect the Valk more than any other non HD bike, and some do actually like them,, i doubt you will find any HD rider envious of them..

I dunno Jess, I think some guys are envious as they watch my bike tail lights recede in the distance.  They just don't speak out loud about it.   ;D

Love my new blue 12 model. I have added the MBL risers and also disabled the anti dive valve. So far this is the first bike that I didn't have to change the seat on. Love the stock seat. But different folks has different butts. I also added highway pegs. Still fooling with the air management system. Got a set of baker airwings coming for it. I had already added the wings under the mirrors and they helped. Do like the black one. I had already bought mine before the black one was on the market.
