Hey everyone, been settled in Peosta Iowa now for a few weeks. Really enjoying the design engineer position. Lots of training the past few days but starting to get the grasp of things. Feels great to finally be working again!

Can't go into to much detail about my job (company policy), but these beauty's are my pride and joy now...

Isn't that a John Deere plant in Dubuque? A HS buddy worked there for years after he got his degree, much the same job title as I recall. Congrats on the new position. As I recall, Peosta is west of town some 15 miles or so. Been awhile so not sure.

Good for you!  Love that big machinery.  And the great looking bike on an unpaved country trail is the best,

  but . . . from another post . . .

Were I you I would shrink the picture a lot.  Large pictures on the signature line really clutter up the message board display.  A small picture can be meaningful without inserting that clutter.

Clutter?   :o

Yes, even a good picture gets tiresome when seen over and over and over again.

Of course, that's just my personal opinion.  These days I have little patience with folks who seem to be full of themselves but I accept that some see the world differently and there are no rules to prohibit it.

Hey Reb, hope all is well and the job is going well also.  It looks pretty interesting getting to play with that equipment and being part of the engineering team.
Hey, if you start hearing a little voice when you go by the Honda shop, and it is saying,"Hey Reb, take me home", that's when you know the Valkyrie has chosen you. should be soon now.
good luck to ya :cooldude: :cooldude:

My Father fed us many a meal from the proceeds of Logging. He started out with a John Deere Log

Skidder.

He owned the operation and later progressed into a Timber Jack Skidder as well as a Pettibone

Skidder. Which MOM could never pronounce correctly. She called it a Peter-Bone, which always

drew some laughter.

Have a good life, John Deere is a great company. The only one in that field that I think is higher

paying

would be Caterpillar. I had a guy that had 30 years in there, that worked for me at the Bomb Plant.
GOD SAVE THE UNITED STATES from the democrats is my prayer.

Hey Steve, Took the engine out and found a bearing on the counter shaft that had some play in it. Going to replace it and put a few new clutch plates in. Going to put a new petcock and desmog kit on it as well while the engine is out. I should be back on the road in a few weeks or so. Haven't been focused on riding much anyway with the new job, but will be when I get into the swing of thing.
