at the very least, that guy should have a basket of some sort strapped onto the back seat for the dog to sit/ride in.

I would prefer if the idiot fell off rather than the dog.

Max rides, but he's always harnessed. He gets on the bike because he wants to ride, I just try to make it as safe as I can.

To easy to fall off, I would call the police on the first one. Hillbilly has a harness on his dog and the seat has a bit of protection and support in turns. When I go on long rides I take the cover off but he has a safe place to be. Short rides I bungee the top open and that also blocks some of the wind. If anything happens he has the saddlebag for protection. He and I have been on some pretty long rides and he will lay down in there if there's to much wind. I have a piece of memory foam in the bottom to absorb shock and make it more comfortable for him.

Try doing that with a German Shepard.

Dogs are not stupid. They like to ride just like you do. Would a harness protect him in an accident?
Ask your dog. :2funny:

NO but the rider only has his helmet to protect him.
The harness is just to keep him from falling off in a curve or sudden stop :uglystupid2:
