Can the MC Cruise vacuum actuator be replaced by one from Audiovox?

So, the second-hand MC Cruise system I installed isn't working.  No surprise there, because it wasn't working before it was removed from the previous bike.  I put the thing in diagnostic mode and the LED lit up when the buttons were pressed according to the manual, and the vacuum actuator made the right clicking sounds, so I'm pretty sure the system works electrically.  When I start the bike, put it in diagnostic mode, and press the set button, the throttle doesn't open to increase engine RPM as it should according to the manual.  I am assuming that the vacuum part isn't working.  Is there a way to take the actuator apart and repair the vacuum solenoid?  If not, is a vacuum actuator from Audiovox CCS-100 a direct replacement for the MC Cruise unit?

I would contact McCruise.  They are in Australia but very quick to respond to questions and/or problems.  I have installed three of their units.  With the first one I had problems.  They called me on their dime to work through what was wrong.  Very friendly and helpful people.

I had to hold the set button down for a surprisingly long time when I tested mine in diagnostic mode.  Just saying

Yes, but will it work in place of the MC Cruise unit? There is someone local who is selling a complete CCS-100, so depending on price negotiations, I might use the actuator from that.

Glad to see you are trying..  Best of luck on it!!
Yeah, I'm trying! Unfortunately, I won't get it working for Inzane, which was my hope with 3600 km to travel one way, but you win some, you lose some. FYI, only two magnets are required per the instructions.
