I'm selling some parts on this site and it' s been fun but when someone says that they are going to pay that night with Paypal and the next morning there is no payment I have a dilemma.  So I emailed them in the morning and now it's mid afternoon. How must time should I give them? I have other ridesrms that would like them.
Let's RIDE

Flrider

Give them till tomorrow morning and move on to next in line.

I agree 100% . I've had people say they wanted something I had for sale and the money order will be sent. I'm still waiting one month later. Big BS. The item is not for sale anymore. First one with the money wins the prize.

Hoser

I sold a back fender half, and a corbin seat to two fine gents off this board, shipped them to both their homes, they both sent me a check within a week of delivery.  I have done this before, and have never got screwed by a member of this forum.  Good folks here.  Hoser  :cooldude:

I have the same axe to grind with people who can never be on time.

Say one thing, do another.  Show late, or don't show at all and no call.

I understand bad traffic and other mishaps, but when someone can never be on time to anything or anyplace, I have no patience and no forgiveness.

so what happened JackB?  Still selling the parts? initial buyer got them or backed out?  never heard anything?  sold to someone else?

  the suspense is killing me.

I let anybody that rides with me that when I say kick stands up at 0800 THAT is what I mean. You show up at 0810 and there is a big empty where we wuz. I have zero tolerance for being late. The U S Navy and my trucking job ran on an accurate clock. Lived in Il. and had lots of B B Qs. When I said we eat at 1600 and you showed up at 1630 you MIGHT find some left overs-but mostly not on the left overs.  :2funny: I had a relative who shall remain nameless that if you wanted her there at 1600 you told her 1300 and she MIGHT show at 1800 wonderin WHY didn't you wait for mw???  :uglystupid2: :crazy2: :2funny: RIDE SAFE.

As my late father used to say, the only thing a man should be late for is his own funeral.    Other than that, be on time or early, never be late.

I still have some things left. I know you asked about the chrome side covers and you said that you didn't want them. Was there anything else you wanted?
I had 2 guys I was waiting on ,One paid on Sunday The other didn't return the email so the cruiser bar is for sale again.
I still have the side bags I had one low offer, also chrome control covers.
If I didn't get back to anyone I'm sorry I had a lot of guys asking for the same part. I tried to email back to everyone

If he said pay by a certain time, and that time passed without explanation, then you are free to do what you want with a clear conscience.

Well, if thats what it is then I have it to! But it's usually the same people I'm waiting for. The other thing is the ol' "yup I will be there" and it ends up a "no show"! I don't know how Jess feels about that but it cooks my grits!

I went to four Honda shops to get a test ride on a new Valkyrie. Only the farthest
away one, an hour and a half away, let me do the test ride. It sure would have been
easy to go over to the good Toccoa shop, a half hour away, and buy their blue Valkyrie,
but I went way over, and hour and a half, to the Laurens/Clinton shop and put a deposit
on their black one yesterday  :)

Look at this little gem hiding in a thread!  Very cool, when do you take delivery?

Good for you.  Rewarded the outfit that gave you good customer service, with your business.  Even when inconvenient.
