So I met my daughters new boyfriend for the second time today. He was helping me change the oil in her car. Nice kid. Owns a Road King. After we finished we were having a beer in the garage and he was looking over my 2001 I/S. He was asking questions about the car tire handling and the weight etc. I finally just gave him the keys and said "You should just take it for a ride". Only the second person I have let ride it.

He came back about 20 min later with Elvis blasting "Hunka Hunka Burning Love" on the MP3 player and all he could say was "I can't believe how smooth that thing is!"
Then I did the nickel trick for him and his eyes just got big. Again he repeated "I can't believe how smooth that thing is!" "I can't believe how smooth that thing is!"

I think I have set the hook. Time will tell If I can real him in.

Yep. alcohol affects everyone differently. There are many other things that affect human performance also. I work in Flight Safety and when we do an accident investigation we will examine the 72 hour and 7 day history of the pilot for nutrition, hydration, sleep and other stressors. We use a tool called FAST.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatigue_Avoidance_Scheduling_Tool

It can look at your history and determine your performance level compared to your performance with a certain blood/alcohol content. You would be surprised how many pilots are flying around out there with performance levels equivalent to greater than .08% without drinking at all. Drivers are even worse. So really I suggest all riders should get a FAST tool and run a complete diagnostic review on yourself every time you are going out for a ride. You might find you ride a lot less. You might even be a bigger danger on the road than someone who has had a beer.

Your daughter's boyfriend sounds like a good dude.  Maybe he'll pick up a valkyrie, can't go wrong with them.

So many people read this board just waiting for someone to do something wrong so they can point fingers. Oh my god you drank a beer and rode a bike, how can you live with yourself?  No matter what you do someone will think your wrong.

What kind of car tire do you have on your Valk?  And what kind of oil did you put in the car?
