First question, electrical... (F6B/Wing)

Woohoo!!!  At least it ain't oil or tires.   

Is there a designated plug / receptacle under the front fairing somewhere for a "cigarette lighter" / power outlet?  Or would it be better to run a wire all the way back to the fuze box and use the AUX terminals?

I picked up a weather proof power socket in a Auto-Parts store... gonna use it for phone / GPS charging. 

I don't have a full wiring diagram yet... so I'm flying blind on this one.

On the F6B, there is already a plug in the wire harness to support the (easy) installation of a power port in the left fairing pocket. Check out the vide below, it should give you all the help you need. Also, do NOT buy the one that Honda advertises for upwards of $75. You can get the exact thing much cheaper.

When I saw what they wanted for the Honda OEM Accessory Socket ($79.99 MSRP) I about choked. I picked up a Show Chrome (52-748) plug-n-play for $10.95 and it works great.

You can use that one. I used it to power my $29.00 running lights and ran a new wire to the accessory on the fuse panel for the power outlet.

The above quote was mine (PA_F6Ber) and the install is pretty easy.  The hardest part is cutting the plastic unless you have the correct drill bit (which I didn't).

I have installed both types of plugs...EC and Bike MP3 have them both...sorry, been so long I forgot how to post pic's on this site!
