My email to the MLB baseball stadiums re Gary Glitter

This is something I'd been thinking of doing for about 18 months. Reading of the foul mans charges in the UK was the deciding factor to my email.

"Gary Glitter" aka Paul Gadd is a convicted paedophile in Vietnam where he was jailed for 3 years.

Now he is facing charges in the UK for similar crimes.

Why are his songs and music featured at baseball games?

It's makes my skin crawl every time I hear it.

"Rock and Roll" being the soundtrack most frequently used during games.

I appreciate your concern about the music of Gary Glitter.

I am proud to report we do not play any of Gary Glitter's music at Fenway Park (including 'Rock & Roll') and have not done so in several years for exactly the reason you outlined. I know some stadiums still include Glitter's work in their libraries, but I can assure you we do not and will not, ever.
