Thinking of pulling the rear seat?

Kinda like the solo look,, and can always throw it back on,, when riding double.    

My question is,,,, where, can I get one of the leather things that take it's place,,,

n' what,,,,, do you call em?

Back seat n' rest don't do much,, for the lines,,, in my eye....    



Just dawned on me, I'll need something to replace the back rest mount as well.

Where can it be found,, n' what is, it,, called..

They're called fender bibs, those on the tank are called tank bibs. Just about any motorcycle leather shop will have one, you might try Talisman which is one of our site sponsors. If you remove the backrest/sissybar, you'll also want what's called a cruiser bar. It bolts into the place where the sissybar was. Otherwise you'll have two ugly posts sticking up with nothing attached. I agree with you re. the lines of the bike. If you're solo most of the time, it really cleans up the looks. I've been solo for about 11 yrs. now and have never had reason to put the "back seat" stuff back on.

Another suggestion, lose all the ridiculous commas,,,,and periods....  Very annoying(I'm not alone in case you're wondering), often makes it difficult to read, and folks just don't talk that way so why type it that way?

Commas n' periods is how I have always posted on da net,,, it's fer emphasis on the key words errrr whatever.

And dunno bout you, but I do,,, pause, fer effect when speakin..

Prices were not too bad. First off saw a used set on ebay fer 250 bucks.. n' went,,, maybe not???   

Then found new for $78 free shipping, cruiser bar, n' $34 (11 to ship) studded bib...

Just remember this; no matter how soft the bag you lay across the fender bib, it will rub the bag paint.  And I have bag paint to prove it.

Yes.  With the Supervalk (while traveling), I carry a big duffel across the solo rack (not just a bib), but the very soft leather bag sagged down at both ends to the saddlebag lids and rubbed the paint pretty good (vibration).  I solved that by zip tying a 2.5-foot 5/8" dowel to the solo rack to hold the bottom of the bag level.  But tired of wet luggage and having to put the bag inside a lawn and leaf bag to keep contents dry, I just bought this spendy bag to solve all those problems (for the Inzane trip).  It retains its shape even while empty, and can go to the bottom of a swimming pool and contents still stay dry. It got soaked on the trips down and back, and everything was dry.

(I have no back seat to install on my supervalk, if you travel with a duffel in back, the back seat should probably go back on to support the duffel. It also allows better access to saddlebags when underway. )

However, it is too long to go crosswise on an Interstate back seat, and will have to be turned end to end, and will hinder opening the trunk.

But I doubt I'll ever go that far (that I need luggage) via 2 wheels,, again..   

Arthritis  n' other joint issues, keeps me down to a day rider at most..
