Tom G-Man and I went thru some gnarly toad strangler north of Roanoke
Was preceded by wind  maybe 40  not bad by west standards
but I could tell it was picking up nicely

While getting drenched to the bone I saw sun breaking to the west and continued into the bright sun a few miles down the road   Since I was a hundred yards behind a truck with flashers I
just used him like a lighthouse and continued at the speed limit,

Apparently Tom and Gary stopped immediately when the rain hit as did a few cars.

So when I realized no motorcycle lights down the road I pulled over at an off
ramp safety triangle with my 4 ways on and a LEO pulled up after 10 minutes

Stayed there talking with me till they finally showed up another 10 or so minutes later   Nice to meet a
friendly LEO.  Gave my windshield sticker a double thumbs up and we had a good time
even checked on his radio to make sure no reported MC accidents for me.

Yup, that was some mini storm.  Couldn't see a thing in front of me and was soaked in a matter of seconds.  Hate that crap, but it's all part of riding.

Glad ya made it home safe Evan.  As usual, it was great to see you guys  ;)
