Found this in the July 1994 issue of Motorcyclist Magazine! The very first Valk!
How many differences can you spot between this '94 prototype and the beautiful Phat Ladies we've  come to know and love?
    I think I can see 7 or 8 differences.
Wonder if this prototype is actually still on the road somewhere! Would it be a "Collectors Item"?
Wouldn't that look good in your garage!

I think the similarities are more amazing than the differences.

I remember reading that article back in 1994.
I showed that article to my wife and said that if they ever do build one that I would get one.

My daughter was nearly two years old, so my wife so my wife thought I was "Looney Toons" as I was riding a CB750F every weekend as I was an AMA District Rep.

Heck I wore out that bike and rebuilt it, all the while hoping that the Valk would arrive and when it hit the show circuit it seemed to be hidden off in the back. The Yamaha Royal Star was the hit of the CW show at the Pontiac Silverdome. The Valkyrie was near the back wall (sort of hidden away). Honda was promoting the Shadow 1100 ACE and their new Interceptor and the Hurricanes.

In 2001 a local dealer had so many Valks in his inventory that he was advertising the Interstates for $9999.00 + tax and title, and his Standards and Tourers were also sold at fire sale prices.

I had bought a GL1100 Standard and chromed a lot of parts and had it custom painted. I was at work on evening when someone asked if that was a Valkyrie. I felt almost apologetic to tell him that it was an older Gold Wing and not a Valkyrie.

After several lean years, I found an I/S (loaded) with 1200 miles for 10K. It was MINE!

I now have three and I'm almost satisfied (I still want to do a few things to all three).

ALWAYS QUESTION AUTHORITY!

I did miss that post of yours.  Was in the hospital getting cut on at that time.

I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to
