Someone at InZane (maybe Carolyn?) said that they should keep their
name and change their logo to a peanut.

I find the name Washington Redskins HIGHLY offensive and would want nothing to do with the team... They should just change the name to "Redskins" and drop the offensive word!
Never ask a geek 'Why?',just nod your head and slowly back away...

I remember the same was said about the Washington Bullets.

Years ago when Russell Means was heading up the American Indian Movement, He asked if it would be offensive to call a sports team the Chicago Jews? It made a point.

LOL !

Patrick

Terry Bradshaw is now jumping in. He thinks it should be changed also.  I believe he said he thought that name was as offensive as the 'n' word.
If this gets traction, where will it end. There has to be more behind this than just that name change.

..

Bradshaw seems to be jumping on every bandwagon in an attempt to keep his name in the media.

I guess I wouldn't see it as ofensive.

The mascot would be a Rabbi.

Instead of chanting "Defense Defense" we can shout "Circumsize them Circumsize them!"

Kosher hot dogs!

Big rivalry with the New York Jews

Everybody would make a little money and be happy.

Not to go off track, but being a middle income, Caucasian male, I find the name "Cracker" Barrel to be offensive, and will push to see this company change it's name, also.

Actually there was a discussion about the term "cracker" on here not too long ago. I always assumed it was derogatory but Crackerborn explained where the term came from and what it meant.

Different races are identified by skin color alone, Blacks and Whites for example.  Just saying.

Why is the Cleveland Indian OK?  It's a characiture of an indian brave from a looney tunes cartoon. But it's in Ohio so it doesn't matter??

This is the politically correct in an overly "liberal" city abusing the system to distract from the failings of their political parties policies at running this country.  Instead of  Harry Reid being outraged by the IRS abusing its power and then hiding behind excuses of losing 2 years worth of e-mails, he rails against a football teams name.  Get real!

One of the radio talk show guys was saying that he was refused advertising because of the use of the work "Redneck" in the ad..... he owns the Redneck Country Club in Houston.

Pretty soon there won't be many words left, because all the others insult someone.

A guy called in to one of the show to protest the name Gringo's (a Houston area Mexican Food restaurant chain).  He said he found it distasteful and wanted it changed

My feelings?  I find their FOOD distasteful, so I do what I do with any company that insults me in one manner or another -- I stay away.  And keep my money out of their pockets.
