Rita, the love of my life just turned 75.

Her Parkinsons disease and a form of cancer of the blood have taken their toll on her. Still, she hasn't lost her sense of humor or determination. But, she does have those days when it's almost too much. She hates having her picture taken but I insisted, the family needed to have this for themselves. The flowers on the left were from her oldest son, the yellow roses are from me, the peonies on the right are from her daughter. Her daughter was one of those that took care of her while I attended InZane. While here, she took her out and bought her some clothes. Due to her size now, it's nearly impossible to find clothes that fit. The necklace she has on was also a gift from a former daughter-in-law, real sweet gal. The necklace is hand blown glass and very delicate so I made her put it on for the picture even though it's not really a match for the blouse she's wearing. That also got me fussed at.  ;)

For those of you that know her, you know she's a real sweet gal with a gentle, loving heart. As for her afflictions, she says she can still make a mean martini....as long as you want it shaken.  ;D
