Learning the majority of life's lessons the hard way.

Every trip is an adventure, enjoy it while it lasts.

..

Be prepared for the masses of bikes that will be around.

Hope you ride all the other roads that are much more fun then Deals Gap.

Yes,

This is not his first trip to the area, and has made the same recommendation.

I will take him up on suggestions.... but at least want to make the attempt at going to the Dragon, if in the area, even if it is to just cross it off of a list.

Dragon is just a road.

With barely any shoulders on it.

Plenty of people with adrenaline pumping, remembering all those that died on it.

Drop offs that can exceed 200 feet, no guard rails, bears, turkeys, deer, possum, pine trees that fall,

those that don't stay in their lane, that is just a few hazards.

Then a large concentration of LEO's, that frequent the area, looking for LAW BREAKERS.

Keep it under 40, stay in your lane, slow down if your over your head.

It is just a road, I hope you live through it.

I have done the Dragon, more times than I can count, still here.

Yeah as Al said it is just a road and many have died on it trying to out ride their capabilities, I have ridden it maybe 30 times and I do tend to be more aggressive if alone vs the wife on the back but still remember I want to be able to ride tomorrow . As Al and SmokinJoe can tell you there are many roads in that area that are just as good or better. Be safe and don't get Stoooopid, there will be many, many, many riders there that weekend. I try to avoid it on Friday,Saturday and early Sunday if I am going through.
