Here's what I found and I ordered 4 of them. They are in the UK and you have to wait about 3 weeks to get them. But hell, to me that's much better than paying the inflated prices for them here in the states. They order them directly from the factory and cost is a little more than $17 each plus shipping. My total including shipping was just over $80 for the four covers.

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Well found. Do they look exactly OEM?

Partzilla wants $174 each

Cheapest OEM on eBay right now is $90 incl shipping.

I bough 6 of them over almost 2 months ago, still back ordered. From a different place in France.

http://www.bike-parts-honda.com/

They said the newest date is July 20th

I sent them an email and just got a reply they they will be at my house by the 23rd.

$119 for 6 of them delivered

I have one wrinkled (81K) and one perfect (52K).

Since they wrinkle and Honda has decided to stick us with an exorbitant price, I will run my wrinkled one forever.  (it matches my forehead)

My bikes are 15yo and both show some wear.  I try to keep them clean and shiny but I'm done spending for perfection (other than mechanical).

Xtracho,

Thanks so much for sharing this great find! Ordered 3.

I have ordered stuff from them before, and shipping here to the states at that time only took about a week.  Rainmaker, let us know how long it takes to get them here.
T.P. told me the one on the Interstate I'm flying up to Minn. to get is starting to bubble.

Perhaps what you ordered was in stock. I dunno. But the alternator cover is special order it says. And takes 5-7 days for them to get it.

I just ordered 2, great find. Maybe we can flood the market with these cheap ones and will drive the price down on the expensive ones.

Xtracho

I'd like to know what the justification was for driving the price up like they did in the first place. It was almost an overnight jump if I remember correctly.

A YEAR AGO, THEY WERE $45 ON HONDA DIRECT PARTS, AND $24 AT PINWALL.....NO MORE.

ONLY ONE I'VE SEEN RECENTLY AT PINWALL WAS CRINKLED WORSE THAN THE ONE I HAVE.

THINK I WILL ORDER SOME.

ok....placed my order for 3 of them

SO HOW DO WE STOP THE CRINKLES? IS IT HEAT FROM THE ALT? WHAT ABOUT SPRAYING SOME COATS OF SPRAY CAN UNDERCOAT ON THE BACK SIDE OR ATTACHING SOME FOAM INSULATION?

KEN

Yup, I received the same letter...still worth the wait. I've waited this many years, whats a couple weeks.

That's what I fear.  I got one from jolly old England (another company, however) a few months back -- took at least 6 weeks to arrive.  Definitely the Honda OEM, not  a reproduction.  Funny thing, the label says part number 21333-MZ0-A00 Made in the U S A !!! OK, so the part is (or was) made here, but when shipped over the pond and then shipped back it still costs dramatically less than it does in the country of manufacture. :crazy2:  Smells fishy.  I think if Mother Honda bumps the price over pond, we should call her greedy ass out on this one.

The ones I ordered from the link I posted read "Made in USA" also (see photo above). And I wondered the same thing. But I'm not complaining nor asking anyone why. The 4 I ordered and received will last me the life of my Valk.

Ken there was a thread earlier where Skinhead, I believe, mentioned getting some heat resistant tape from the auto parts store to put on the backside of the cover. I think I'm going to try that trick and see how it works out.
