Powerlet handlebar mounting ... ?

I'm thinking of using a couple handlebar mounted Powerlet deals to power a GPS on one side, and an Escort detector on the other side.
 
The PKT-091 Powerlet handlebar mount looks good to me, but I think the Valkyrie has only 1" bars (?? true ??), and this hookup says it works on bars 1 1/8" to 1 1/4 bars.  I'm sure I could use a rubber sleeve of some sort to take up the slack.

Adding Ram balls or other mounts (I may have in stock) would allow for me to run these guys.

What do you folks think about this ??

That looks a little pricey, but all bike stuff is. I don't know what else is out there, but I'm looking for the same.
I have a GPS on a Ram mount. I ran the 12 Volt power cord into the headlight. It plugged into the 12 v female socket I put in there.  Now I'm working on a Sirius radio. There's no more room in the headlight. So far I have a hanging outlet on the handlebars, cheep. Ram mounts are great, I have a bunch of the 1 inch ball size parts. They all work together so you can make any kind of mount. I used there quick disconnect for the radio. one button it comes off the bike and snaps in the mount in the house.

Interesting stuff. 

I have a short depth Powerlet outlet from my C14 in stock.  I'm thinking of cutting it in on the left side of the fuel filler housing.  This would allow me good access to a GPS mounted on the bars some place.

With the oem windscreen mount, there is not much room on the bars for any kind of mount IMO.  I'll have to see what I have in stock and what can be done with the minimal space I have with the windshield mount.

But, there are many options.  As more folks get these bikes (and I hope they do), more ingenious ideas will come forward.  This all makes my options better.

Hondaline goes in the tool/glove box behind right side plate, it's plug and play. but they want $70 for it. I have one that plugs into the battery tender pigtail, it's only $6.49. then I run a usb cable to where ever I need it.
