I'm loaning my bike to Des for a few months so he can design a new seat.  Unfortunately, he is going to be on the road at rallies for couple of months.  Hopefully around October or November he can add the 2014 Valkyrie seat to his line-up.  He's making mine in black with blue piping.  In the meantime, I'm riding the Tourer or the Interstate.

A few months?  You kidding me?

I have an Ultimate on my Wing.  Care for it a great deal.  Very nice and expensive saddle.

Why don't you just order a new oem saddle, pop it on your bike and send the original to Des to recreate his deal?  All he needs is a mock up on the oem pan, eh?  Mock it up and then have the bike in for a week to tweek it.

A few months seems like a lot of time to 'design a saddle' to me.  But, what do I know.

Des looked at it at InZane, he seems to think it will be rather complicated... especially the passenger seat.  Most of that few months is because they will be on the road.

You can't do much about the length of your life, so focus on the width.

Complicated or not, I wouldn't want my bike in the shop waiting for someone to deal with it.  Just me ...

Still ... I'm sure if Des is using your bike, he'll toss you a bone on a new saddle.  Hopefully.  And, I'd still buy a new oem saddle (even solo) and ride the bike until he's ready to work on the design.

But, what do I know ....  :-\

He doesn't ride it anyway...he just sits in the garage and makes Vrooom Vrooom noises while Connie points a fan at him.  ;D :2funny:

Saw your Valkyrie today at the Destination Daytona shop. Des has it apart & is working on it when he can. Being on the road doing all the rallies has put them behind the 8-ball on a lot of things.  :o
As with all his products, it will be top notch & worth the wait!  :cooldude: :cooldude:
