  Looks like my riding season might be over for this year. I broke the bone in my left foot for the small toe. Will take at least 8 weeks before the cast comes off...

Know what you mean, I broke the first metatarsal on the left foot a few years ago.  Took a while, but worked out ok, still have a couple of screws in there.

It seems to me that if you have a cast your covered.  Boot not required.  Good air circulation available.  Just saying.

Sorry, Darrell, can you swap bikes with Deb for a couple of months or so? Do you have enough flex in the ankle to shift? Hope you heal fast. I didn't ride when my 5th metatarsal fractured, but it was wintertime, and I was rebuilding the forks. I'm sure Deb will take you out for a ride...
