Before the War, Civil, we had true constitutional freedom. After,,, we slid into the Hell we know today.
States were free to Govern, now we have to ask Momma, Washington, for the right to use the rest room.

Arkansas adopted this flag after the war.  Notice it is not too unlike the battle flag.

The blue stars in the center represent the nations Arkansas has belonged to.  The lower 3 are Spain, France, and the US.  The upper star represents the Confederacy.

It's not really about hating a flag.It's more about those who've had extreme views and embraced it as a symbol for their beliefs.

don't know what that means.  but thinking Lincoln didn't support slavery. and if that's what you mean then

I havn't seen that flag before. The flag that I always though of as the "Confederate" flag was the flag which first flew over Fort Sumter in Charleston Harbor, SC in 1861. I'm pretty sure it is considered the first official flag of the Confederacy. It was also know as the "Stars and Bars."

Edit:  I see now that the the flag you posted was the third and final "official" flag of the Confederacy.
The Third National pattern, adopted March 4, 1865, shortened the white field and added a vertical red bar to the end of the Second National pattern flag. Very few, if any, of the Third National pattern flags saw service during the war, since General Lee's Army of Northern Virginia surrendered just a few weeks later at Appomattox.

Speaking of flags, I was watching one of the sailing events during the last Olympics. Suddenly I was , surprised to see a boat flying a Texas flag. I knew we'd been talking about succession, but didn't think it had gone that far.

It is a Chilean flag.
