Good Mornin',

I found this forum while at work a few weeks ago (I do turn-arounds at refineries/chem plants...).  I fell in love with Valkyries the first second I laid eyes on the first ones, in a Pennsylvania showroom, circa '96.  I was headed towards a divorce, so the "timing" wasn't right for owning one.

...the timing was perfect two years ago, when I found this beauty sitting on a stand, amidst a garage full of Screaming Eagles.  I've carried it with me to jobs all over N. America behind my little '66 F100.  When I get to the hotel, I park the truck... back the Valkyrie off the trailer... and ride her... rain/shine/day/night.

I thought I would make introduction by sharing a few pics of the bike, and the truck that pulls her.

Good morning, CM... and welcome!!! All of us here share you infatuation with Phat Gurls, so feel free to express you affection all you please. You've stumbled into the best place/forum I know of for Valk enthusiasts, so please post often and by all means let us know more about you... Where do you live, for example... You'll find lots of information about Valks and their maintenance, plus frequent Valk gatherings around the country, so feel welcome at any or all of them.

DDT

P.S. I really like your truck, too!!!
Don't just dream it... LIVE IT!

See ya down the road...

If you're lucky enough to ride a Valkyrie, you're lucky enough.

CM Sackett

Thanks for the welcome.

I live in S. Arkansas, but am all over N. America about 9 months a year.  When I'm home, I still jump on her, and travel the twisty, turny backroads of the state.

Here are a few more shots of such a day...

Welcome aboard CM, glad you found us. Always though the Valks should've come with a tag saying something like: "for world class support on your new Valkyrie, visit http://www.valkyrieforum.com". I'd have found it about a year earlier myself.
Absolutely fantastic looking setup you've got for yourself there. Love the truck, love the red/white valk!

GeoffreyB

Welcome.  You'll find a lot of information and good folks here!

And I must say you've got the best looking color combo offered - the beautiful red and white.

Of course I could be a little biased.

A hearty welcome from Washington state.  That combo of truck and bike look like a perfect setup for hitting the occasional car and bikes shows. Looks like they could be related, lol.  Both are nice lookin rides.

I don't think all or even most Valkyrie riders require veterinary care in Colorado.  :crazy2:  Or does a vet there happen to also be an excellent Valkyrie mechanic?

I would suggest trying other possibly Valkyrie-related web addresses.  I'll let you try www.fatladies.com and report back to us.  I don't want to be the first!

BTW CM, before I got my red and black, I thought the red and white ones looked the best.  I do, however, think that you would make even more of an impression if you towed your bike behind one of these:

tkylli,

Appreciate the offer.  I stop in at JAX every time I go through Ft. Collins.  I bowhunt the Medicine Bow, out past Walden.

Gryphon Rider, I'm not sure if it is truly COOL that you found that image to go along with his typo... or a little scary that you even knew where to look. ;)

I knew the bikes would look good here (love that red/white Cruiser), and the Vette is a Smile-Maker, as well (always been an A-body man, myself...).  Thanks again for the welcome.

Very cool Avatar pic also :cooldude: I've put a few of those in the freezer .

That was a true world-record Shiras I found and ghosted (along with his massive B/C buddy) for over an hour... along the backside of a peak in the Medicine Bow ('08).

I took a nice Yukon, in the gold country of N. central AK in '07.  Lord willin', headed back within 2 years to do it again.

Here are a couple of the images I captured with this one...

Very nice. There are definitely some big ones in the interior of AK. Biggest I've got was 55" in eastern AK. My old boss used to fly out to central part of the state and got several LARGE ones over the years. Largest was 72"
