Well worth it and love it.
You should expect struggle to adjust until you get it right.

thanks man!

Pricey...but worth it. I have stock grips. Two adjustments 2 yrs ago works perfect. Looks like part of the bike.
                       Got mine on ebay.

You're welcome...

I picked one up off of a CL ad, brand new for a 100 bucks, took all of 20 minutes to install and adjust. I love having it dis-engage when I hit the brakes...that's one reason I never liked throttle locks. In an emergency the last thing you are thinking about is releasing a locked throttle.

Have one on my bike.  Wouldn't ever be without one now.   :cooldude:
I can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

Just installed one this year and it's great. I have ISO grips and the wide levers. A bit of a fiddly PITA to get adjusted but when you do no issues.

I have one on my Standard.. wit hte ISO grips.

Agree that once it is adjusted, it works great.... just getting it adjusted correctly was a pain for me...

Love it!

I have the Break Away Throttle Lock, and am really happy with it.

I do however want to give you a heads up. I have stock grips on my bike. The chrome ring on the inside of the grip rotated independently from the rest of the grip. The Throttle Lock grabs on the that chrome ring, my speed would not hold because the while the lock held tight the chrome ring the grip itself would rotate freely. I thought at first that the Throttle Lock didn't work, but when I discovered this and fixed it found the Throttle Lock works perfectly.

Hope this helps if you too run into your Throttle Lock not working with OEM Grips.

ps - How did I fix it? I pulled the chrome ring away from the grip, super glued it, and pushed it back together.

I have the ISO grips, works great on flat surfaces, even small hills just disengage is my finding. Maybe mine is not adjusted correctly??

Yes... not adjusted correctly.

I can hit a fairly solid BUMP in the road at speed... still stays locked... until I hit hte brakes or hit the off switch / button...

thanks for the heads up!  I do have oem grips on my standard..  when you say chrome ring on the inside of  the grip  how did you pull it away from the grip? do they pull off the handlebar or are they glued  on?
thanks :cooldude:

Thanks to  all for the input :cooldude:

I also had the old style and it's super dangerous when in an emergency and trying  to disengage :tickedoff:
