Traffic was pretty heavy, everyone heading to the Glen [ Watkins Glen for the NASCAR race].
I was stopped trying to turn left, left side of lane. Signal on of course. I saw this blue Tahoe coming, but, didn't think much about. There was plenty of room around the right side of me.
Bottom line, she got me. I couldn't quite get out of her way. No injury.
I snapped on this broad, but, in the end she seemed like a decent gal. I think she was on the phone, but, wouldn't admit it. [ It illegal here]. She said she a biker gal, and just didn't see the signals in time.
Always have a GOOD way out and keep an eye in that mirror at all times. How's that for monday morning quarterbacking.

Glad you're OK.
How's the bike.

Not too bad, already about half healed.  learning how to get more better at welding plastic [ I know its not real plastic, But, it's plastic to me].

I'm glad you came out of it in relatively good shape.  I hate it when you can do almost nothing to avoid such accidents.  I these times we must get the exact time of the collision to tell if someone was on the cell phone.  Law enforcement automatically checks phone records here.

Now this is getting interesting........

That sucks, glad you and your bike fared pretty well.  Hopefully if any costs are involved the lady or her insurance will be compensating.

I'm sorry it happened.  Sounds like it went much better than it might have.  Scarey moments!   :o

I'm glad you're OK and the bike is in the healing process.

Glad you're OK. Sometimes you just can't get away from them.

Glad to hear the responses. Yup, she is healing fine, basically just cosmetic stuff. It sure could have been worse.
The gal claims to be a biker and even though I went ballistic at first, she stayed calm and it seems she is a good girl, we'll see.
All she had to do is turn the wheel, there was plenty of room to  get around me. I guess thats why they call them accidents. If I had let the clutch out a nano-second sooner I don't think she would have gotten me. Stuff happens.

Crackerborn

Glad to know there are no serious injuries to you. It's never fun to have incidents on two wheels and this is a reminder to all of us........

STAY VIGILANT, they are out to get us

bet she was on the phone. you could have had the officer to check the phone maybe she would have gotten ticket then take her A$$ to court.  Don't care how good looking she was
just saying it could have been the other way around for you
MAKE TEHM PAY!

Patrick

Well, she wasn't good looking by any means, well, by my means.

I'm not the hard ass some think I am, maybe getting soft[er] in my old age I guess.

If she doesn't want to pay for me fixing the thing, well, I'll have learned another lesson. But, I will then call the Deputy and see if we can't make life a bit more difficult for her.

Its my job to get the big-ass table at the diner on Sunday AM so the friends don't have to rush after getting out of church.[ I got thrown out of the Catholic church 40 years ago]
Well, I digress as usual.
While going home in the old roadster I pulled up behind another car at the light. A car pulled up behind me. We were all sitting there minding our business when this gal decided against stopping for that red light and rammed the car behind me which then was pushed into me.
I have a feeling she was on the phone [ which is illegal in this state] but won't admit it and I doubt it'll be looked into.
Not much damage to the roadster, the luggage rack took most of it.
The way things have been going lately I'll need to get a helicopter and use that for everything.

So I'm getting lot of practice fixing luggage racks/bags lately.

Think carefully during a string of close calls and an impact before substituting a helicopter as your means of transport.   :o

Xtracho

Glad you're OK and the bike can be fixed. As far as choppers are concerned? Not me....seen too many close calls and water landings during my years in the oil patch.

The car is all fixed, well, as fixed as its going to get. The luggage rack is not going back on, it really doesn't belong on that car. A couple pulls and tugs and its good to go. Those old Fords are tough.
I'll just wait to see what happens, I'm not hurt so I'm not worried. And I'm not one to try and cash in on something.
In response to a PM, I'm not going to talk to a lawyer.

I've been meaning to build a helicopter for quite some time. But, maybe a jet pack will get me where I want to go more better.  ;D
I've had a couple really really bad experiences in helicopters and shouldn't be alive [ or able to walk]. I haven't been in one since, I've tried. But, regardless, I've long thought about building one fly out of the back yard.
