New owner questions

Just purchased a beautiful 2000 Valkyrie (only waited 15 years for it), and I'm taking it on a couple hundred mile ride in a couple of weeks. I'm looking for a set of  pegs that will allow me to stretch my legs pass the 90 degree angle without having to look like I'm having a gynecological exam. I am considering kuryakyn Ergo cruise foot pegs, with ISO wings. Will those fit? I would prefer if they did not mount to the  front pipe of the engine guard, but to the cross member that runs parallel to the ground ( I hope that makes sense). I just don't want then extending too far out.

Any suggestions and or photos  of your set ups will be welcome. Thanks

kuryakyn Ergo cruise foot pegs, with ISO wings is the way to go. They fit the Valkyrie Standard and Tourer.
Do not fit the I/S. I'll look for a photo. :)

The Kury's with 4" arm will work with the IS, but the clamp will have to be placed behind the little air scoops on the engine guards and go foreward.

Get used to the gyno's stirrups, there's no way around it with a 3' wide engine.

You can cut the little scoops off and they will fit the same as standards or tourers.  Dremel tool works fine.  Hoser

What is the purpose of those scoops anyway?
