How will you face your own death?

Thank you for your kind thoughts, I see every day as a gift. Back in the 90's, I was telling the story to one of the young boys in the Italian Band I still play with. (What I didn't say in my earlier post was that I was not going to let one sick MF (Who's her mother? Really? ) determine how I relate to people of a different color, and that I would never allow that to happen to me again.) The young man, in his infinite wisdom, said, So it made you a stronger person. And it did. I had actually ridden around different neighborhoods on my scooter, mace at the ready, but never saw him. Still have an angry streak that can flash right up, but all in all, I'm OK with the outcome. HE just isn't done with me yet

At times I feel invincible.  ??? No not with the ignorance of a 17 year old (I'm 38). I can think back about all the craziness I have done in my life. From Rock Climbing, White Water Rafting, On and off road Motorcycling, Snowboarding, etc, etc. By all accounts and statistics I should be a goner, but.. I know God has a plan for me on this Earth and until I fulfill that plan he isn't going to let anything stop me. And So... when I have fulfilled my God given duties my death will be a gift to me. I greatly look forward to moment God looks at little ol me and says, "Well done my good and faithful servant".

Sorry to hear/read such a story Karen. Glad to see you seem to doing OK and have a good attitude about it. I hope justice will be served for both of you.

I have a friend who is a retired pastor (84) and was called out of retirement to give a memorial for a friend who had passed.  While listening to all of his friends family and friends tell their love for the decease my friend Father Bill decided he wanted to have a living memorial of his own.  So he planned his funeral and invited all of friends to a ceremony and a dinner to follow.  He said he wanted to be there to see his friends for the last time and be able to hug them and so on.  My wife and I were invited but were to be out of town so we missed the living memorial.  I told him I would make it to the next one.  Was going to send him a card, but Hallmark did not have an appropriate card.  I think I will give him a call and find out how his funeral went.  Maybe he is starting a new trend!

Kinda partial to what Marlon Brando said when he was asked the question about what he believed would happen when he died.
His reply was that he would open his eyes and ask: "What the hell was THAT all about?"
